Saffron Walden Motor Show 2018 - 12th August

This year we were back on the common for the Saffron Walden Motor Show.
The weather was not forecast to be good with lots of rain in the afternoon. Just Alan and I were here -
today as other members were at shows elsewhere. After lunch I went for my usual walkabout and took some photos. I did not -
take many photographs as it was quite cloudy plus a few random raindrops here and there as I walked around.
The show was not quite as big this year, as usual there were trade stands to cast your eye over, plenty of food and drinks to be -
had including lovely ice cream being sold by the Saffron Walden Ice Cream company. As last year a band was playing all the old favourites -
(The Shadows, Beach boys, Hollies but to name a few.)
My particular favourite vehicles were A Lee Francis saloon, an Albion Lorry from 1917 (probably served in the great war), some old-
motor bikes, a smashing Ford Escort rally car, and a big American yellow cab, and finally an Old Bedford bus from the 1950's

That concludes this years Saffron Walden Motor Show report. A really good show as usual, all credit to the Organizers.... Maddie
