Kimbolton Country Fayre and Classic Car Show - 8th July 2017

Today 9th July and a return to Kimbolton for the Country Fayre and Classic Car Show. Our hosts -
were The Rotary Club and Sporting Bears car club. As usual the organisers did a good job. It was very hot today so Alan and I were glad of the shade under-
the trees. This year we were even nearer to the school and the toilets, so a very short walk. After resting for a while-
it was time for me to break out the camera and to start painting with light. I did a complete circle of the showground which was-
heaving with a lots of people and cars. Almost the whole grounds were taken up with cars, stalls, fair ground rides. This year-
saw the return of the shire horse display, a battle with gunfire, lots of smoke and bangs, very entertaining. At 13:30 a lone spitfire-
did a flyover making two passes over the showground, that sound of a Merlin engine is quite unforgettable. I managed to get a shot-
of it as it flew over, a big challenge to focus and get the shot as it was probably doing over a 100 miles an hour.
Alan and I have been coming to this show since 1997 and it had grown over the years. Last year the show attracted over 8000 visitors.
We'll be back next year for our 22nd visit, so until then enjoy these images. ..........Maddie
